Founded in 2005, this Tampere day care has a single group of up to 14 children, depending on their ages. It draws on Steiner (Waldorf) education in everyday work and follows Finland's national core curriculum for early childhood education and care.
The small group lets staff give each child careful attention, and children practise emotional and social skills with adult support. Seasonal festivals mark the year, the interior takes its cues from nature, and children over three have guided eurythmy every week. Photos of daily life are posted on Facebook.
