Run by a non-profit association, the daycare was founded in 1976 for families of workers at the Winter paint factory. It occupies a house designed by Birger Federley and built in 1930 for the factory's deputy director. Activities start from children's creativity, play and hands-on experiences, with organic food part of its approach.
Childcare operates under the service voucher model. Applications use the centre's own form, submitted by email or on paper. The association's board consists of parents of children attending the centre.
