This Tampere school provides basic visual arts education for children, young people and adults. It started in 1982 as the city's art school for children and young people, joined the Tampere Region Adult Education Centre in 1997 and took its current name in 2003. Teachers are visual arts teachers, artists and other visual professionals.
Alongside long-term studies, open courses for young people cover drawing, painting, modelling, construction and printmaking. Children and young people apply every May, adults usually in summer about every other year. Tuition is charged. A step-free route leads from the street, the main door opens with a push button and there is an accessible toilet.
