This non-profit association runs guided activities and study and hobby opportunities for all ages. It is religiously and politically non-affiliated, and its stated aims are to reduce loneliness, support lifelong learning and create meeting places for children, young people, families and older people. Its adult education institute offers courses in autumn and spring terms, some running the full academic year, with 45-minute lessons. Some courses are held on Zoom, and some are supported by study vouchers from the Finnish National Agency for Education for unemployed people, pensioners, people on sickness allowance and immigrants.
Registration is online, by phone or by email, and the office is staffed on weekdays at set hours. Payment options are online payment, payment links, ePassi, Edenred and card at the office; cash is not accepted. Meeting and hobby rooms can be rented, children's birthday parties are hosted, and Kamula is a meeting place for students and young adults. Corporate team coaching, volunteering and paid membership are also available.
