This Tampere animal welfare association has helped abandoned cats since 1979, mainly in Pirkanmaa but also elsewhere in Finland. It says it has found responsible homes for more than 10,000 cats. Cats come into its care from feral colonies, as social welfare cases or when owners give them up, and its funds cover neutering, veterinary care, medicines and food.
Cats needing a home are presented on the website. The work is funded entirely by membership fees, donations and its own fundraising, for which it holds a police permit. You can help as a member or volunteer or by donating, including via MobilePay, and food and supplies are collected at pet shops in Pirkkala and Sastamala.
