The national centre for children's and young adult literature and book art runs a specialist library. It serves professionals, enthusiasts and media and organises exhibitions, events and family meetings. Resources include the Onnet database, an illustrator bibliography and the Lukemo literature portal.
The library catalogue includes Tove Jansson's home library. A shop sells cards, posters and books. The centre holds the Kirjabasaari book bazaar and awards the Punni prize for Finnish children's literature. The entrance is accessible.
