Founded in 1945, this aquarium hobby association welcomes beginners, experienced enthusiasts and professionals. Members can join DIY workshops, lectures and excursions, mainly in spring and autumn. An aquarium auction is held each autumn.
Services include an aquarium caretaker, lifting equipment hire, microscope use and book loans. Members receive Botia magazine twice a year, with an electronic edition openly available online. The association belongs to SEEL, Finland's union of exotic animal hobby associations.
