Founded in 1930 as a workers' sports club, the organisation is known for football but has also practised bandy, ice hockey and boxing. It won the Finnish football championship in 1994 and several Finnish Workers' Sports Federation titles in the 1930s and 1940s. Its colours are red and white.
Youth teams have operated since the 1930s. Teams cater for boys and girls of different ages, as well as adult women and men. The club also has a futsal team. Winter registration is offered for clubs and teams, and season tickets are available for matches.
