This public sauna with an ice-hole swimming spot stands on the Näsijärvi shore in Tampere. It is run by the Tampereen Talviuimarit association in premises owned by the city. The sauna is wood-fired, and guests of the separate yurt sauna pay at the same cashier and share the changing facilities.
No advance booking is needed, though there may be a wait when it is busy. Cash is not accepted. There are separate changing rooms for men and women with showers, lockers and hairdryers, and drinks and sausages for grilling are sold. It is closed on the second Tuesday of each month for maintenance. The entrance, toilet and parking are accessible. A visit usually takes one to two hours.
