This Japanese restaurant in the Forum Kortteli block in Turku was founded in 2013 and takes its inspiration from the izakaya, the Japanese neighbourhood pub where small plates are shared over drinks, so the mood is lively rather than hushed fine dining. Shared plates feature seafood, meat and vegetables alongside traditional and modern sushi and sashimi. Drinks include small-producer wines, sake and craft cocktails.
Tables can be booked online, by phone or by email, and booking is recommended for dinner. Well-behaved pets are welcome if mentioned when booking. Private events and private cooking classes such as sushi courses are also arranged, along with catering.
