This beer restaurant on the Kaskenmäki slope in Turku occupies a former pharmacy in an early 20th-century building. Pharmacist Frans Eskil Ditzler moved his pharmacy here in 1907, and architect Frithiof Strandell designed the fittings. The bar opened on 27 January 1993 with the original interior kept, and the building also housed Finland's first private restaurant brewery, now closed.
There are draught and bottled beers and ciders, a large malt whisky selection, wines and other spirits. There is no table service and no reservations. The entrance and toilet are accessible, and cards and mobile payments are accepted. Visits typically last 45 minutes to 2 hours.
