This Turku crematorium offers individual pet cremation locally, so there is no need to freeze a pet or send it to another town. Cremation takes place at the city's pet cemetery. At the Jatulintarha pet cemetery ashes can be scattered free of charge or a pet buried in a paid grave plot, and memorial stones and plaques can be ordered.
First contact your own vet and pass the appointment time on to the crematorium; if a pet has died at home, book by phone. A vet can also put a pet to sleep in the on-site memorial room. Cremation happens no later than the day after arrival, and burials take place mainly from April to September for pets under 30 kg.
