This 17-hectare nature reserve in the south of Turku, near the Kaarina border, is made up of broadleaf grove islets, rocky forest, pine woods and dry meadows, with shore meadow in its southern part. Old oaks and small-leaved limes grow here alongside many grove herb species, and rare dry-meadow plants grow on the slopes. Rare fungi, forest mosses and a varied beetle fauna that depends on deadwood are also found, and the grove birdlife is comparable to that of Ruissalo.
A network of nature trails runs through the reserve, and the routes are suitable for children. Dogs are allowed, and the car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
