Completed in the 1440s, this Turku church is one of the oldest medieval stone churches in Finland. A stone sacristy came first, followed by a three-aisled, cross-vaulted nave and a west bell tower. The medieval altar, choir screen and lime paintings survived into the 19th century. Its most valuable treasures are a wooden crucifix from around 1400 and an altar cabinet probably made by a craftsman from Lübeck.
Services, weddings, baptisms, funerals and concerts are held here, with room for 450 people. It is open during events and by arrangement. The entrance and nave are step-free, with a call button for wheelchair users and an accessible toilet outside. There is ample parking.
