Designed by architect Erik Bryggman, the Resurrection Chapel at Turku cemetery was built in 1939–1941: work stopped during the Winter War, and the chapel was finished on the eve of the Continuation War. It was conceived as a total work of art, with lamps and candlesticks sharing one design language, and a large glass wall opens onto the pine forest. The sandstone reliefs are by Turku artists Jussi Vikainen and Ennu Oka.
The chapel holds 200 people, and its acoustics suit choral music. Ceremonies and urn burials are booked through the parish union's burial office, other visits through the caretaker. The entrance and chapel are step-free, with an induction loop and an accessible toilet.
