This Turku spa is set inside the rock in the inner courtyard of the Graniittilinna building on Kakolanmäki hill, in the middle of the old prison area. The hill once held a prison for Finland's most dangerous criminals; prison operations ended in 2007, and the area has since become a modern district with a hotel, restaurants, a bakery, a brewery with a taproom and shops.
Visits are booked online, and booking ahead is recommended. Treatments include Elemis facials and a massage that combines heat, steam and touch. Drinks can be ordered at the poolside bar, and a snow shower can be booked. A visit usually lasts from 30 minutes to three hours. The toilets and car park are accessible.
