This Turku music school has nearly 2,000 students and teaches everything from classical to pop and folk. Leisure students can start at the music play school and move on to instrument and singing lessons, theory and music technology, while vocational students train in classical or pop/jazz performance. Ensembles include the Aura Sinfonia orchestra, shared with Puolalanmäki Music Upper Secondary School, as well as choirs and a big band.
Leisure students apply via an online form. The school also rents out venues and books musicians for events, and its Sigyn Hall stands on the bank of the River Aura in a former rope factory and shipyard hall. The entrance and parking are accessible.
