This Turku viewpoint sits on top of a hill built up from two former landfills, rising to 53 metres. The summit has a wide view over the city and is a place to watch the New Year fireworks. The hill is part of a 25-hectare nature reserve founded to mark Finland's centenary. The reserve also has a cave about 45 metres long, Bronze Age burial cairns and an old city boundary stone called Ropokivi.
The area is about three kilometres from the centre of Turku and can be reached by bike or bus. A wide, easy nature path and a lit exercise trail run through it, and nearby are a disc golf course and walking and ski trails. The site is not wheelchair accessible.
