This Turku flower farm was founded in 1928, when Aarne Suominen sowed the first seeds on its land, and the fourth generation now carries on the work. It grows flower bulbs, especially tulips, along with seasonal flowers, violas, Easter and Christmas flowers, and herb and vegetable seedlings. The vegetables carry the Sirkkalehti label for Finnish produce, and no supplementary grow lights or fossil fuels are used.
The farm does not sell to private customers: its buyers are mainly grocery chains, garden centres and flower shops, with deliveries all year round. The public can visit once a year on the Käy kasvihuoneeseen open day. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
