This Turku public sauna opened in 1926 at another location, with separate sections for men and women. The owner's father, Kalevi Salminen, bought it in 1965 together with Helmi and Eino Saari, and in 1981 it moved into its current spa building. Since 1988 it has been run, in the family's second generation, by Mervi Hongisto, who chairs the Finnish association of cuppers and sauna therapists.
Besides general bathing sessions, there are cupping, peat treatments and wellness options such as a celebration or hen and stag party wash and a salt bath. Services are offered for all ages. Booking ahead is recommended, cards and mobile payments are accepted, and the car park is wheelchair accessible.
