Founded in 1993, the local association promotes the wellbeing of children and families. It runs a family café, events and campaigns and offers volunteering opportunities.
It operates from Variksenpesä family centre, in a club room on an apartment building's ground floor. Children, young people and adults can join, and members receive Lapsemme magazine. An accessible entrance and parking area are available.
