This low-threshold activity centre is alcohol- and drug-free, and anyone can drop in during opening hours without being a member. Activities include peer support groups, experience-expert work, and work and volunteer activity. A food-aid service shares surplus food in communal food bags. Service counselling helps with social services, the employment office, Kela and rehabilitation matters.
The centre offers computers for visitors, daily newspapers, group activities, trips and parties. A visiting psychotherapist sees clients on site on a paid basis, and outreach diakonia workers visit monthly. The Varpu project helps with online services, income, health and job searching. The association is membership-based, and members pay a membership charge. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
