The business exists, but it is not on the map. Why?

The business runs, customers come, and still the search shows it to nobody looking nearby. The reason is rarely advertising. Most often it is a question of who owns the information.

An unconfirmed listing is like a note on a public board: anyone can change it. A confirmed listing is yours. Only after that do opening hours, photos and answers to reviews stay where you put them.

Confirmation is usually done by postcard, phone, email or video. You do not choose the method, it is offered to you. If video is offered it is the fastest, and it usually asks for the sign, the entrance and something that ties the address to you.

How to check it yourself

1. Search for your business on a phone, not logged in.
2. See whether the listing shows a line asking someone to confirm ownership.
3. Check whether a second listing exists for the same address.

We lost access to the account. What now?
Ownership can be requested from whoever holds it now, and the request goes through the platform. Do not create a second listing while you wait.

Does the postcard always arrive?
Not always. If it does not, the method can be requested again, and the address is worth checking exactly as the post office writes it.
