Operating full-time since 2013, the company uses trained dogs to locate mould and moisture damage in homes without breaking surfaces. Scent-discrimination training covers moisture-damage microbes, their metabolites and 2-ethylhexanol. Handler Niina Siljander has a background in chemistry laboratory work and microbiology.
Surveys are available in the capital region and in Western and Central Finland. The company also trains clients' own dogs for mould detection using scent discrimination.
