Hand-hewn log buildings range from saunas to detached homes and public buildings, in traditional or modern designs. Older structures receive log repairs and replacement of rotten bottom logs. Round or squared logs can use different corner joints, with interior surfaces planed or hewn to preference.
Flax or sheep's wool insulates the joints. Timber is usually sourced per project, felled in winter and dried before hewing. The workshop has a tower crane for handling logs and a band saw for large timber, including customers' own logs. Tongue-and-groove boards are sold for uses such as ceilings.
