This restaurant and event venue stands on the Backas manor estate near Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The venues include the manor, the Puimala event centre and the Tiilitehtaan Sauna. The estate covers 33 hectares of culturally historic countryside with restored buildings. The food is based on Finnish ingredients such as game, fish and foraged produce, and traditional Finnish dishes are prepared in a modern way.
The restaurant is open by reservation all year, and the premises also host separately arranged events. Weddings, summer parties, Christmas parties and private events are held here, along with meeting and conference facilities and corporate event packages. A summer theatre gives private performances, and public evening events, brunches and dinner shows take place throughout the year. Seating, parking, the entrance and the toilet are all wheelchair accessible.
