This former village schoolhouse is used as a venue for small parties and meetings and is rented out year-round. It can be hired for private events, small family celebrations and meetings.
It is run by the local heritage association Ylästön Kotiseutuyhdistys. The building also serves as the premises of several Ylästö associations and hobby clubs, and it hosts the local Christmas market and a senior meeting-place activity.
