Founded in 1993, the unemployed people's association provides guidance, support and recreational activities. It belongs to the national unemployed people's organisation and runs the Leinikki meeting place for unemployed people and local residents. Activities include food distribution for members and people in need, coffee service and weekday lunches.
The sewing service mends garments and accepts only clean items. Members can borrow a blood pressure monitor for a week. Regular and supporting membership are available. The association has employed long-term unemployed people through wage subsidies and work trials. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
