This national park in Ylöjärvi is known for ancient forests, quiet bogs and esker landscapes. The large area is mostly pine forest and bog, and the park centre has the Kovero heritage farm, whose buildings, yard and meadows form a valuable cultural heritage site.
Visitors can hike, picnic, pick berries and paddle on a lake, and some routes suit children. There are picnic tables, a grill and a public toilet. Parking areas include both free and paid ones, and there is an accessible car park and entrance. Dogs are allowed.
