This Orthodox chapel was built in 1992 to replace a prayer house destroyed by fire. Its icons were painted by Martha Neiglick-Platonoff. It belongs to a parish operating across Central Finland.
Services are open to everyone regardless of faith, though sacraments are reserved for Orthodox Church members. Worship is held in Finnish and Church Slavonic, with dates published on the parish website. Visitors are asked to cover their knees and shoulders. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
