This non-profit association, whose board consists of parents, runs a day care centre offering Swedish-language immersion early childhood education and pre-primary education for Finnish-speaking children. No prior Swedish is needed: adults speak Swedish to the children in daily routines and celebrations. Groups are small, with at most seven children per caregiver, and the immersion continues into lower and upper comprehensive school.
Units operate in Tapiola and Olari. Full-day, part-day and part-week care is available, and the centre takes part in the free early education trial for 5-year-olds (Viskari). The children go on excursions and cultural outings, and according to its website the staff are qualified, many with long service.
