The yacht club began as a harbour community in 1933 and manages 125 berths. Its present name dates from 1982. It operates the harbour together with other local boating clubs and a sea rescue association.
Member services include boat inspections, guarding, training and autumn trips, with club flags and pennants for sale. The clubhouse was completed in 1997 and renovated in 2017; an outside company runs a restaurant there. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
