The association supports men who have used or fear using violence in family or close relationships, mainly in West Uusimaa. Its Miehen Linja service also offers men who have moved to Finland discussion about parenting and family life.
Work begins with the client's own contact by phone, email, chat or online form. The first meeting involves two staff members; individual sessions last 45–60 minutes. Support includes a 15-week Veturi peer group, help for relatives and joint couple meetings with other providers when relevant. A follow-up is arranged six months after the work ends.
