This restaurant has a long tradition in the Tyykkikylä district. It was founded in 1963 by Kerttu Vuolle and in 1966 became the first pub in town to receive a beer licence, followed by a B-licence in 1969 and an A-licence in 1987. Ownership passed to Marja Kuru and Saila Vuolle at the end of 2007. The atmosphere is that of a culture pub, with beer and karaoke on weekend evenings.
A traditional home-style lunch is served daily, cooked on site from fresh, mostly Finnish ingredients. Lunch is delivered to homes and workplaces, and regular meal subscriptions are available. A catering service is offered too. Guests have a smoking room and internet access. The toilet is wheelchair accessible, but the entrance is not.
