The port seafarers' church serves mariners throughout the HaminaKotka port area. It began in 1961 as a city-established reading room for seamen and is one of the Finnish Seamen's Mission's seven churches in Finnish ports.
Ship visits and transport are provided across the port, including the Kotka areas. The church has Wi-Fi and a small canteen, and a port chaplain offers conversation support. Volunteers can help with visits, transport and events. Access requires a separate permit, which should be requested from staff.
Tell other seafarers and volunteers in the comments about your experience of the mission's services.
