This Helsinki wine bar is set in a former pharmacy: the historic Helsingin XII Joutsen pharmacy operated in the building for over a hundred years, and its protected Art Nouveau interior has been kept. A family of restaurateurs known for classic restaurants opened it. Small seasonal plates, cheeses, cold cuts and pâtés go with the wine, and there is also a five-course menu.
Diners can book a table online, but some indoor tables and the terraces cannot be reserved. The old laboratory is now a private room for up to 25 people. Small dogs are welcome in the bar area and on the summer terrace. The entrance and toilets are wheelchair accessible, and gift cards are sold online and on site.
