Run by the University of Helsinki, this animal hospital is on the Viikki campus in Helsinki. According to its website, it is Finland's only animal hospital for all species and a centre of excellence in veterinary care. Vets from several specialities work alongside students. Viikki has small animal and horse hospitals, and a further site, Saaren eläinklinikka, is in Mäntsälä.
Open around the clock every day of the year, it welcomes all domestic animals. Appointments can be booked online from anywhere in Finland, and urgent cases go to the emergency service. It also runs a mobile service, Eläinsairaala Mobiili. The entrance, toilet and parking are accessible.
