The vocational coaching unit is part of the work and training services of a non-profit foundation established in 1983. The foundation provides social psychiatric rehabilitation for mental health service users and has belonged to the city group since 2011.
Services follow a recovery-oriented approach that centres on each person's own goals and decisions. The foundation also provides supported housing, day activities, work activities and employment services. It holds the Finnish Social Enterprise Mark and the EcoCompass environmental certificate.
