This hostel and camp school centre is in a former school building on Suomenlinna, the UNESCO World Heritage sea fortress about 15 minutes by ferry from central Helsinki. It is run by the Finnish Camp School Association and belongs to Hostelling International Finland. Camp school themes include Baltic Sea and archipelago nature, history and cultural heritage, and teamwork.
Guests stay in private rooms or dorms with a shared kitchen, and breakfast is included. It is open all year, bookings are made online, and you can check in outside reception hours. Groups can use a hall for up to 40 people or book the whole place for themselves. Pets are welcome.
