The smallest branch of Helsinki City Library is in the Suomenlinna sea fortress and has been part of the island's cultural life since 1957. It hosts events, exhibitions and author visits.
You can read newspapers and use computers here. The collection is small, but items can be ordered from any library in the Helsinki capital region. From the main pier, take the easier route. The main entrance has steps with handrails on both sides, and a side door with one flight of stairs can be used on request. The toilet is small, with an 80 cm door opening.
