This Helsinki café opened in 1994, and the founders' first venture, Café Succès, opened in 1957, is still run by the same family. Its signature is the large cinnamon bun, and the counter displays handmade pastries from classics to seasonal treats. For lunch there is traditional salmon soup, stuffed baked potatoes and salads.
You order at the counter, and there is outdoor seating. On weekdays from 11 am to 2 pm and at weekends it is laptop-free, so that everyone can find a seat. Dogs are welcome, there are high chairs, and wine and beer are served. Companies can order tailored office lunches, and gift cards are sold online. A visit usually lasts 45 minutes to two hours.
