This City of Helsinki comprehensive school covers grades 1–9. In August 2024 it launched a Nordic programme with a bilingual group taught in Finnish and Swedish, where pupils also study other Nordic languages. Partners include a school in Lejre, Denmark, Kottby grundskola, the Hanasaari Cultural Centre and Pohjola-Norden. From grade 7, pupils can choose an emphasis on home economics and sport.
Applications are made in January through the Asti service, and places are drawn by lot if there are more applicants than places. The entrance test for the emphasis includes a PE test. Pupils in grades 7–9 get a laptop, parents use Wilma, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.
