Run by the City of Helsinki, this Swedish-language adult education centre offers hundreds of courses, lectures and events. Subjects include art and design, crafts, home and garden, literature and languages, digital skills, health and wellbeing, music, society and culture, and nature and technology. It also offers Swedish for immigrants (SFI), basic education for adults, open university courses and Kompetenslyftet skills training.
Teaching is in Swedish. Registration and payment are handled through the Ilmonet service, and courses can also be commissioned for groups. The building has a library, a café and a gallery, and rooms can be rented. The entrance is step-free.
