This non-profit association advises and trains house builders and renovators across Finland. It describes its advice as neutral and not tied to any seller or contractor. Free courses cover building, renovation and choosing a prefabricated house package. A start-up meeting service is offered to people planning to build or commission a detached house.
Members get access to guides and contract templates on an extranet and to a technical phone advisory service. Members also receive legal advice on building and renovation disputes and on defects in older houses. The association carries out building inspections of houses and housing company properties with written reports, and its online shop sells publications and guides on building and renovation.
