Designed by Carl Ludvig Engel, Helsinki Cathedral is a neoclassical Lutheran church at the top of a monumental flight of steps, crowned by a green dome. It belongs to the Helsinki Cathedral Parish and hosts events and concerts, and a café operates in the crypt. The cathedral holds Visit Finland's Sustainable Travel Finland label.
Access is step-free, and there is an induction loop for hearing aid users. Visits can be arranged with the parish by phone or email, and the church can be hired for concerts. Paid street parking and an accessible parking space are nearby, and there are toilets.
