This Art Nouveau villa in Helsinki was the official residence of presidents Ryti, Mannerheim and Kekkonen and a venue for political negotiations. Urho Kekkonen lived here for thirty years until his death, and in 1987 the villa became a home museum that shows the house as it was in the 1970s.
The museum is run by the Finnish National Museum, with public guided tours at weekends and private tours by booking. The Museum Card is accepted. Café Adjutant serves café treats and lunch, and the villa can be hired for events. A visit usually takes one to two hours. Wheelchair users can visit with an assistant, there are lifts in the house and at the porch, and guide dogs are welcome.
