This City of Helsinki day care centre has been running since 1976, and its building was renovated in 2007. Seven groups serve about 110 children aged 1 to 6. Two groups offer Swedish language immersion, and pre-school is taught both in an immersion group and in a Finnish-language group. Days focus on play, singing, reading, exercise and creativity, guided by the joy of doing.
The varied yard is close to nature and to several destinations for outings, and the parents' committee is active. A level, wide, lit path leads to the entrance and the rooms are on the same floor, though the door is heavy and thresholds are over 2 cm high. There is an accessible toilet. The service language is Finnish.
