This Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) physiatry unit is one of the three main physiatry sites in the capital region, alongside Jorvi and Peijas hospitals. It mainly treats musculoskeletal conditions that do not need surgery, such as back, neck and shoulder, and limb problems, and physiatrists plan and assess rehabilitation. Patients come from Helsinki and the whole HUS area.
Appointments are booked by phone or through the Maisa patient portal, where pre-visit questionnaires are also filled in. On arrival, check in at reception in the first-floor lobby of the Vega building, opposite the Helsinki Ice Hall. Parking is limited, so public transport is recommended. The entrance is step-free.
