The gynaecology outpatient clinics of HUS Women's Hospital in Helsinki investigate and treat a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including bleeding disorders, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, changes in the uterus and ovaries, and gynaecological cancers. Procedures include hysteroscopy, colposcopy, thermal balloon treatment and urogynaecological surgery, and the clinics also carry out abortions.
A doctor's referral is required and all visits are by appointment; abortions are arranged by phone. On arrival, patients check in at a kiosk in the lobby. One support person may come along, but children cannot enter the treatment rooms. The entrance, toilets and car park are accessible.
