This Helsinki University Hospital laboratory is on the first floor of the Kalasatama Health and Wellbeing Centre. It takes blood and urine samples, ECGs (including for children under 12), gynaecological samples and cervical screening tests, as well as drug screening, throat swabs, fungal cultures and glucose tolerance tests.
A referral is always needed, and private doctors' referrals are accepted. Book online or take a queue number, and check in at a kiosk on arrival. After 3 pm on weekdays only appointments are served, though urgent samples are still taken. Samples collected at home can be left in a return machine.
